Arjuna said: “O Lord, please explain to me that Brahman which is the supreme object of knowledge. By your grace, my mind now delights in subtle inquiry; therefore, teach me the nature of the highest Reality that ought to be known.”
अजुन उवाच
The verse frames liberation-oriented inquiry: the highest goal of knowledge is Brahman, and true understanding arises through the guru’s grace and a mind refined to grasp subtle realities.
At the opening of this teaching section, Arjuna respectfully requests Krishna to expound the nature of the supreme Brahman, stating that Krishna’s favor has made his intellect receptive to subtle spiritual instruction.
