Vaiśampāyana said: The great ascetic, Śrī Kṛṣṇa—knower of true discernment—comforted him (Arjuna) in due and proper manner. Having thus set down the burden he had taken upon himself, that Sāttvata (Kṛṣṇa) seemed to rest, as though relieved—signaling that wise counsel and rightful reassurance can steady a shaken warrior and restore moral balance after grievous trials.

Right counsel given in a proper, dharmic manner can lighten another’s distress and also release the counselor from the weight of responsibility; ethical leadership includes restoring steadiness and clarity after trauma.
Vaiśampāyana narrates that Kṛṣṇa, described as a great ascetic and knower of discernment, consoles Arjuna according to proper procedure; after reassuring him, Kṛṣṇa seems to rest, as though having set aside his own burden.
