Chapter 74: Non-anger, Forbearance, and the Ethics of Residence
महेन्द्रस्य कुबेरस्थ यमस्य वरुणस्य च । भवनान्यनुसंयामि प्रभाव पश्य मे नूप,नरेश्वर! मेरे प्रभावको देख लो। मैं इन्द्र, कुबेर, यम और वरुण--सभीके लोकोंमें निरन्तर आने-जानेकी शक्ति रखती हूँ
mahendrasya kuberasya yamasya varuṇasya ca | bhavanāny anusañyāmi prabhāvaṁ paśya me nṛpa naraśvara ||
Duṣyanta said: “Behold my power, O king, lord among men. I can move freely and continually to and from the celestial abodes of Indra, Kubera, Yama, and Varuṇa.” In context, the statement asserts extraordinary capability and status, inviting the listener to recognize authority grounded in divine reach rather than mere earthly rank.
