वंशानुकीर्तनम् — Genealogical Recitation from Dakṣa to Yayāti and the Establishment of the Paurava Line
द्रव्यकर्मगुणज्ैश्व॒ कार्यकारणवेदिभि: । पक्षिवानररुतज्जैक्ष व्यासग्रन्थसमाश्रितै:
dravyakarmaguṇajñaiś ca kāryakāraṇavedibhiḥ | pakṣivānararutajñaiś ca vyāsagranthasamāśritaiḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana said: They were accompanied by men learned in the nature of substances, actions, and qualities, and by those who understood the relation of cause and effect; also by experts who could interpret the cries and signs of birds and monkeys—scholars grounded in the treatises of Vyāsa. The narrative underscores that great undertakings are guided not merely by power, but by disciplined knowledge, careful reasoning, and attentiveness to omens as understood within the tradition.
