वंशानुकीर्तनम् — Genealogical Recitation from Dakṣa to Yayāti and the Establishment of the Paurava Line

तच्चाप्यतीत्य नृपतिरुत्तमाश्रमसंयुतम्‌ । मन: प्रह्लादजननं दृष्टिकान्तमतीव च,उस वृक्षशून्य ऊसर भूमिको लाँचकर महाराज दुष्यन्त दूसरे विशालवनमें जा पहुँचे, जो अनेक उत्तम आश्रमोंसे सुशोभित था। देखनेमें अत्यन्त सुन्दर होनेके साथ ही वह मनमें अद्भुत आनन्दोललासकी सृष्टि कर रहा था। उस वनमें शीतल वायु चल रही थी। वहाँके वृक्ष फूलोंसे भरे थे और वनमें सब ओर व्याप्त हो उसकी शोभा बढ़ा रहे थे। वहाँ अत्यन्त सुखद हरी-हरी कोमल घास उगी हुई थी

taccāpyatītya nṛpatir uttamāśramasaṃyutam | manaḥ prahlādajananaṃ dṛṣṭikāntam atīva ca ||

Vaiśampāyana said: Having passed beyond that region as well, the king reached another great forest, adorned with excellent hermitages. It was exceedingly beautiful to behold and, by its very sight, it generated a deep gladness and delight within the mind.
