त॑ चाप्रतिरथ: श्रीमानाश्रमं प्रत्यपद्यत । देवलोकप्रतीकाशं सर्वतः सुमनोहरम्,श्रीमान् दुष्यन्त नरेश अप्रतिरथ वीर थे--उस समय उनकी समानता करनेवाला भूमण्डलमें दूसरा कोई रथी योद्धा नहीं था। वे उक्त आश्रमके समीप जा पहुँचे, जो देवताओंके लोक-सा प्रतीत होता था। वह आश्रम सब ओरसे अत्यन्त मनोहर था
taṁ cāpratirathaḥ śrīmān āśramaṁ pratyapadyata | devalokapratīkāśaṁ sarvataḥ sumanoharam ||
Vaiśampāyana said: That illustrious hero, Apratiratha, approached the hermitage—radiant like the world of the gods and delightful to behold on every side. The passage underscores the ideal of a kṣatriya whose prowess is matched by reverence for sacred spaces, moving from worldly power toward the sanctity of āśrama-life.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Worldly excellence (śrī, heroism) is portrayed as properly oriented when it recognizes and approaches the sanctity of the āśrama; power is framed within reverence for dharma and holy places.
Vaiśampāyana narrates that the illustrious warrior Apratiratha arrives at a hermitage described as godlike in appearance and beautiful in every direction.
