परस्पराश्लिष्टशाखै: पादपै: कुसुमान्वितै: । अशोभत वन तत्‌ तु महेन्द्रध्वजसंनिभै:,फूलोंसे लदे हुए वृक्ष एक-दूसरेसे अपनी डालियोंको सटाकर मानो गले मिल रहे थे। वे गगनचुम्बी वृक्ष इन्द्रकी ध्वजाके समान जान पड़ते थे और उनके कारण उस वनकी बड़ी शोभा हो रही थी

Transliteration

parasparāśliṣṭaśākhaiḥ pādapaiḥ kusumānvitaiḥ | aśobhata vana tat tu mahendradhvajasaṃnibhaiḥ ||

Translation

Vaiśampāyana said: The forest shone beautifully. Flower-laden trees, their branches interlaced as if embracing one another, rose sky-high and appeared like Indra’s banner, lending the woodland a majestic splendor.
