Takṣaka’s agency, Parīkṣit’s rites, and Janamejaya’s enthronement (वैयासिक परम्परा-प्रसङ्गः)
एवमुक्तस्तु धर्मात्मा शौनकः प्राहसत् तदा । उग्रश्रवासमामन्त्रय उपपन्नमिति ब्रुवन्,उम्रश्रवाजीके ऐसा कहनेपर धर्मात्मा शौनक उस समय खिलखिलाकर हँस पड़े और फिर उग्रश्रवाजीको सम्बोधित करके बोले--'तुम्हारी बात उचित है”
evam uktas tu dharmātmā śaunakaḥ prāhasat tadā | ugrāśravasam āmantrya upapannam iti bruvan ||
Thus addressed, the righteous-minded Śaunaka laughed aloud at that moment. Then, calling Ugrāśravas to him, he replied, “What you have said is fitting and proper.”
