शेष उवाच
The verse frames deliverance as arising from a specific cause that becomes effective when the proper time arrives. Ethically, it highlights attentive listening to wise counsel and the idea that fear can be overcome through foreknown means aligned with kāla (the unfolding of events).
Śeṣa addresses the serpents and announces that he will explain the reason by which they will later be freed from a looming great danger, urging them to listen as the destined time approaches.
