Rāma said: “Since you have carried out my instruction, you will attain what is truly auspicious and beneficial. And all the Vedas, as well as every treatise on dharma, will shine forth clearly within your understanding.” The statement frames obedience to rightful counsel as a moral cause whose fruit is inner clarity and access to sacred knowledge.
राम उवाच
Rightly following a legitimate instruction (madvacanam anuṣṭhitam) leads to śreyas—true welfare—and results in inner illumination, where sacred knowledge (Vedas and dharmaśāstras) becomes clear to one’s intellect.
The speaker, identified as Rāma, commends the listener for having carried out his command and grants a blessing-like assurance: the listener will gain auspicious welfare and will naturally comprehend the Vedas and dharma-texts with clarity.
