त॑ माता रोरूयमाणमुवाच । कि रोदिषि केनास्यभिहत इति,बार-बार रोते हुए अपने उस पुत्रसे माताने पूछा--“बेटा! क्यों रोता है? किसने तुझे मारा है?' इति श्रीमहाभारते आदिपर्वणि पौष्यपर्वणि तृतीयो5ध्याय:
tāṃ mātā rorūyamāṇam uvāca | ki rodiṣi kenāsyābhihata iti | iti śrīmahābhārate ādiparvaṇi pauṣyaparvaṇi tṛtīyo 'dhyāyaḥ |
Seeing him weeping again and again, his mother said, “My child, why are you crying? By whom have you been struck?” In the narrative context, the verse highlights a parent’s compassionate inquiry and the ethical impulse to identify the cause of harm before responding—an early gesture toward justice grounded in care rather than anger.
राम उवाच
