स एवमुक्त्वा तां क्षत्रियामामन्त्रय पौष्पसकाशमागच्छत् । आह चैनं भो: पौष्य प्रीतो5स्मीति तमुत्तड्क॑ पौष्य: प्रत्युवाच,महारानीसे ऐसा कहकर उनसे आज्ञा ले उत्तंक राजा पौष्यके निकट आये और बोले --“महाराज पौष्य! मैं बहुत प्रसन्न हूँ (और आपसे विदा लेना चाहता हूँ)।' यह सुनकर पौष्यने उत्तंकसे कहा--
sa evam uktvā tāṁ kṣatriyām āmantrya pauṣpasakāśam āgacchat | āha cainaṁ bhoḥ pauṣya prīto ’smīti | tam uttankaḥ pauṣyaḥ pratyuvāca |
Having spoken thus, Uttanka took leave of the Kshatriya lady and went to King Pauṣya. Addressing him respectfully, he said, “O Pauṣya, I am pleased.” Hearing this, King Pauṣya replied to Uttanka. The scene underscores courteous leave-taking and the ethical propriety of seeking permission and speaking with respect when moving between hosts and duties.
