Sautir uvāca—tataḥ sa vidyāpradaḥ niṣkrānto niṣādī-sahitas tadā | vardhayitvā ca garuḍam iṣṭaṃ deśaṃ jagāma ha ||
Sauti said: Then, upon those words being spoken, that bestower of sacred knowledge came out (from Garuḍa’s mouth), together with the Niṣādī woman. Having blessed and strengthened Garuḍa with benedictions, he departed for the place he desired. The episode underscores the ethical force of truthfulness and gratitude: one who is rescued and honored responds with a blessing, and the rescuer’s restraint and right conduct bear auspicious fruit.
गरुड उवाच
The verse highlights ethical reciprocity: when one is released from danger through another’s restraint and right conduct, gratitude is expressed through blessing. It also implies that dharmic action—self-control and honoring others—naturally yields auspicious outcomes.
Sauti narrates that the brāhmaṇa (described as a giver of knowledge) and the Niṣādī woman emerge from Garuḍa’s mouth. The brāhmaṇa then blesses/strengthens Garuḍa and departs to his chosen destination.
