यदा प्रसन्नो भगवान्‌ महादेवो भविष्यति । तदा तुभ्य॑ प्रदास्यामि पाण्डवास्त्राणि सर्वश:,(वे बोले--) 'पाण्डुनन्दन! जब तुमपर भगवान्‌ महादेव प्रसन्न होंगे, तब मैं तुम्हें सब प्रकारके अस्त्र-शस्त्र प्रदान करूँगा

yadā prasanno bhagavān mahādevo bhaviṣyati | tadā tubhyaṁ pradāsyāmi pāṇḍavāstrāṇi sarvaśaḥ ||

Vaiśaṃpāyana said: “When the Blessed Lord Mahādeva becomes pleased with you, then I shall grant you, in every respect, the full range of the Pāṇḍavas’ weapons and missiles.” The statement frames martial power as something to be received only after divine approval, implying that strength must be grounded in devotion and worthiness rather than mere desire for victory.
