Vaiśampāyana said: Indra became exceedingly pleased; again and again he engaged those two heroes in combat, delighted to witness their valor repeatedly. Excellence in a warrior’s duty is recognized through repeated, disciplined testing; true admiration of valor expresses itself as an impartial challenge rather than envy or avoidance.
Indra, delighted by the prowess of two heroes, repeatedly resumes combat with them, continuing the encounter to witness and measure their strength and courage.
