Mandapāla’s Lament amid the Threat of Fire

jagrāha balam āsthāya jyayā ca yuyuje dhanuḥ | maurvyā tu yojyamānāyāṃ balinā pāṇḍavena ha

Vaiśampāyana said: Relying on his strength, the mighty Pāṇḍava took up the bow and fitted it with the bowstring. And as he set the bowstring in place, he did so with powerful effort—signaling resolve, readiness, and disciplined control rather than mere display of force.
