Jarītā–Śārṅgā-saṃvāda: Ākhu-haraṇa and the Approach of Agni (आखुहरणं अग्न्यागमनश्च)

Seeing himself bereft of his former radiance, Agni (the Fire-god) went to the sacred abode of Brahmā, a realm revered by all the worlds—seeking restoration and right order after a decline in his own power.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
When power or brilliance declines, one should recognize the loss honestly and seek restoration through rightful authority and sacred order (here, Agni approaches Brahmā), rather than acting from pride or confusion.
Vaiśampāyana narrates that Agni, noticing his own diminished radiance, departs for Brahmā’s revered and holy abode—implying a quest for remedy, guidance, or re-establishment of his proper divine function.
