Khāṇḍava-dāha: Indra’s Countermeasures and the Nāga Aśvasena’s Escape (आदि पर्व, अध्याय २१८)
चित्रकौतूहले तस्मिन् वर्तमाने महाद्धुते । वासुदेवश्व पार्थश्ष सहितौ परिजग्मतु:,उस अत्यन्त अद्भुत विचित्र कौतूहलपूर्ण उत्सवमें भगवान् श्रीकृष्ण और अर्जुन एक साथ घूम रहे थे
citrakautūhale tasmin vartamāne mahādbhute | vāsudevaś ca pārthaś ca sahitau parijagmatuḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana said: While that wondrous festival—full of striking marvels and curious spectacle—was in progress, Vāsudeva (Śrī Kṛṣṇa) and Pārtha (Arjuna) moved about together, observing it side by side.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights companionship and shared attention: exemplary figures move together in public life, suggesting that right conduct is strengthened through trusted association and mutual presence, even amid spectacle.
During an extraordinary, curiosity-filled celebration, Kṛṣṇa (Vāsudeva) and Arjuna (Pārtha) are together, walking around and taking in the ongoing festivities.
