समुद्रवर्णनम् (Description of the Ocean) — Kadrū and Vinatā approach the sea
प्रासाश्न विपुलास्तीक्ष्णा न्यपतन्त सहस्रश: । तोमराश्च सुतीक्ष्णाग्रा: शस्त्राणि विविधानि च,दोनों दलोंपर सहस्रों तीखी धारवाले बड़े-बड़े भालोंकी मार पड़ने लगी। तेज नोकवाले तोमर तथा भाँति-भाँतिके शस्त्र बरसने लगे
prāsāś ca vipulās tīkṣṇā nyapatanta sahasraśaḥ | tomarāś ca su-tīkṣṇāgrāḥ śastrāṇi vividhāni ca ||
Śaunaka said: Thousands of large, razor-sharp spears rained down, and keen-pointed javelins as well—along with weapons of many kinds. The scene conveys the impersonal, overwhelming force of battle, where violence multiplies beyond individual intent and the ethical weight of warfare becomes starkly visible.
