Dhṛṣṭadyumna said: “Here have come Saṅkarṣaṇa and Vāsudeva (Kṛṣṇa), and also the valiant son of Rukmiṇī, Pradyumna; likewise Sāmba and Cārudeṣṇa, and Gada; and the mighty Suṣeṇa; and Śibi of the Uśīnara country as well.” The verse functions as a roll-call of eminent allies, underscoring the ethical weight of solidarity: righteous leadership is strengthened when capable kinsmen and renowned protectors assemble in support of a just cause.
धृष्टह्युम्न उवाच
The verse highlights the dharmic importance of unity and capable support: when righteous aims are pursued, the presence of proven leaders and protectors lends moral and practical strength to the undertaking.
Dhṛṣṭadyumna enumerates prominent figures who have arrived—especially Vṛṣṇi heroes like Balarāma and Kṛṣṇa and Kṛṣṇa’s sons—signaling the gathering of allies and the consolidation of forces.
