Transliteration

paśyanto ramaṇīyāni vanāni ca sarāṃsi ca | tatra tatra vasantas te śanair jagmur mahārathāḥ ||

Translation

Vaiśampāyana said: As they journeyed on, the great chariot-warriors beheld many delightful forests and lakes. Resting here and there along the way, they advanced gradually—moving with measured pace, as disciplined travelers rather than hurried fugitives.
