Vaiśampāyana said: Then Draupadī, holding in her hands a finely adorned golden garland, descended onto the arena, O bull among the Bharatas. The scene marks the solemn public moment of the svayaṃvara, where choice, reputation, and royal duty converge under the gaze of the assembled kings.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
