Educational Q&A

The verse emphasizes the inevitability of a truthful sage’s word: a promised outcome (vara/boon) ripens through time and circumstance, even across a change of embodiment, underscoring destiny aligned with spoken truth.

Vyāsa confirms that the foretold boon will be fulfilled after the addressee takes another body, and he points to its concrete manifestation: a divinely beautiful maiden has now been born in King Drupada’s lineage.
