तमुवाच स कौन्तेय: पश्याम्येनं वनस्पतिम् । भवन्तं च तथा भ्रातृन् भासं चेति पुनः पुनः,यह सुनकर कुन्तीनन्दन युधिष्ठिर उनसे इस प्रकार बोले--'हाँ, मैं इस वृक्षको, आपको, अपने भाइयोंको तथा गीधको भी बारंबार देख रहा हूँ”
tam uvāca sa kaunteyaḥ paśyāmy enaṃ vanaspatim | bhavantaṃ ca tathā bhrātṝn bhāsaṃ ceti punaḥ punaḥ ||
Yudhiṣṭhira, Kuntī’s son, replied: “Yes—I repeatedly see this tree; I see you as well, and likewise my brothers, and the vulture too, again and again.” In context, his words affirm clear perception and truthfulness in speech, a dharmic restraint against exaggeration or denial while the group faces a moral test in the forest.
