The sages said: “O King, today in Brahmaloka a great convocation of exalted beings is to assemble—of the gods, of the seers, and of the noble Pitṛs. We shall go there, desiring to behold Svayambhū (Brahmā) himself.”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights reverence for higher orders of being—gods, sages, and ancestors—and presents the pursuit of darśana of the Creator (Svayambhū) as a legitimate spiritual aim, emphasizing humility and aspiration toward higher wisdom.
The sages inform the king that a major gathering is taking place in Brahmaloka, attended by devas, ṛṣis, and Pitṛs, and they intend to go there to see Brahmā (Svayambhū).
