The Birth of Kṛpa and Kṛpī; Kṛpa’s Attainment of Astras
ऋषय ऊचु: अस्ति वै तव धर्मात्मन् विद्यो देवोपमं शुभम्,ऋषि बोले--धर्मात्मा नरेश! तुम्हें पापरहित देवोपम शुभ संतान होनेका योग है, यह हम दिव्यदृष्टिसे जानते हैं। नरव्याप्र! भाग्यने जिसे दे रखा है, उस फलको प्रयत्नद्वारा प्राप्त कीजिये
ṛṣaya ūcuḥ—asti vai tava dharmātman vidyo devopamaṃ śubham |
The sages said: “O righteous one, we perceive for you a blessed destiny—offspring radiant like the gods. By our divine insight we know this to be free from sin. Therefore, O king, strive to obtain the fruit that fortune has already allotted to you.”
