प्र पदोऽव नेनिग्धि दुश्चरितं यच्चचार शुद्धैः शफैरा क्रमतां प्रजानन्। तीर्त्वा तमांसि बहुधा विपश्यन्नजो नाकमा क्रमतां तृतीयम्
prá padó ’vá nenigdhi duścaritáṃ yác cacā́ra śuddháir śapháir ā́ kramatāṃ prajānán | tīrtvā́ támāṃsi bahudhā́ vipáśyann ajó nā́kam ā́ kramatāṃ tṛtī́yam
From the footstep wipe thou off, cast down, the evil deed—whatsoever hath been practised; with pure hoofs let him step on, as one that knoweth. Having crossed the darknesses, manifold, beholding clearly, let the Goat step upward to the third heaven.
