Sukta 5
अजः पक्वः स्वर्गे लोके दधाति पञ्चौदनो निरृतिं बाधमानः । तेन लोकान्त्सूर्यवतो जयेम
ajáḥ pakváḥ svargé loké dadhāti páñcāudanó nírṛtiṃ bādhámānaḥ | ténā lokā́n sū́ryavataḥ jayema ||
The cooked Aja establishes (us) in the heavenly World; the fivefold rice-porridge, thrusting off Nirṛti. Therewith may we win the sun-bright Worlds.
Rishi: Atharvanic tradition (hymn-level attribution varies by anukramaṇī)
Devata: Aja / Agni; Nirṛti as adversarial power
Chandas: Likely Triṣṭubh/Jagatī tendency (longer pādas), but recension metrics should be verified against a metrical padapāṭha edition
{"primary_rasa":"adbhuta","secondary_rasa":"shanta","emotional_arc":"From threat (Nirṛti) to confident expulsion to luminous victory.","listener_experience":"A sense of safeguarded destiny and bright ascent; calm confidence after a decisive warding.","intensity":6}
