Sukta 14
सविता अभि त्यं देवं सवितारमोण्योः कविक्रतुम्। अर्चामि सत्यसवं रत्नधामभि प्रियं मतिम्
savitā́ abhí tyáṃ deváṃ savitā́ram oṇyóḥ kavíkratum | árcāmi satyásavaṃ ratnadhā́m abhí priyáṃ matím
Unto that god Savitar, the Impeller, in his twofold station, of seerly purpose, I sing: the true-inspirer, treasure-housed, toward him I set my dear intent.
Rishi: Traditionally Savitar-hymn seers (RV parallels suggest a learned, RV-derived stratum; exact AV anukramaṇī attribution to be checked)
Devata: Savitar
Chandas: Triṣṭubh/Jagatī-type cadence is possible; confirm by syllable count in critical edition (this verse is not a simple anuṣṭubh).
{"primary_rasa":"shanta","secondary_rasa":"adbhuta","emotional_arc":"Reverent praise → alignment of intent → quiet confidence","listener_experience":"A clear, uplifted mind; sense of auspicious beginning and guided momentum.","intensity":4}
