आपो विद्युदभ्रं वर्षं सं वोऽवन्तु सुदानव उत्सा अजगरा उत। मरुद्भिः प्रच्युता मेघाः प्रावन्तु पृथिवीमनु
ā́po vidyúd abhráṃ várṣaṃ sáṃ vo ’vantu sudā́nava útsā́ ajagará úta | marúdbhiḥ prácyutā meghā́ḥ prá̄vantu pṛthivī́m ánu ||
May the Waters, with lightning, cloud, and rain, in concert succour you—bounteous givers—yea, the springs, yea, the hidden holders; and may the clouds, shaken loose by the Maruts, further aid, raining along the Earth.
