Sukta 59
कण्वा इव भृगवः सूर्या इव विश्वमिद्धीतमानशुः । इन्द्रं स्तोमेभिर्महयन्त आयवः प्रियमेधासो अस्वरन्
káṇvā iva bhṛ́gavaḥ sū́ryā iva víśvam íd dhītám ānaśuḥ | índraṃ stómebhir maháyanta ā́yavaḥ priyámedhāso asvaran
Like the Kaṇvas, like the Bhṛgus, like suns, they won—yea all—by sacred thought. Exalting Indra with their praises, the Āyavas, the Priyamedhas, lifted up their song.
Rishi: RV-source tradition; the verse itself references multiple r̥ṣi lineages as exemplars.
Devata: Indra
Chandas: RV meter (likely Triṣṭubh); requires RV source collation.
