निगृह्य कर्णकौ द्वौ निरायच्छसि मध्यमे । न वै कुमारि तत्तथा यथा कुमारि मन्यसे
nigṛ́hya kárṇakau dváu nirā́yacchasi mádhyame | ná vaí kumāri tát tathā́ yáthā kumāri mányase
Holding down the two ‘little ears’, thou stretchest them forth in the middle. Not truly, O maiden, is that so, as, O maiden, thou imaginest.
