dhrúvāyā́m tvā diśí purā́ saṁvṛtáḥ svadhā́yā́m ā́ dadhāmi bāhucyútā pṛthivī́ dyā́m-iva úpari | lokakṛ́taḥ pathikṛ́to yajāmahe yé devā́nāṁ hutabhā́gā ihá sthá
In the steadfast quarter, as erst was done, enclosed in Svadhā, I set thee—released from mortal arms—upon the Earth, as though aloft like Heaven. We worship the World-fashioners, the Path-fashioners, who have their portion in the gods’ oblations: be ye here present.
Rishi: Traditionally connected with Pitṛmedha/Antyeṣṭi collections (often treated as Atharvanic tradition; specific ṛṣi attribution varies by anukramaṇī)
Devata: Pitṛs / ‘Lokakṛt’ and ‘Pathikṛt’ powers (ancestral-world and path makers)
Chandas: Mixed: first pāda-prose-like with a concluding triṣṭubh/jagatī cadence (edition-dependent scansion)
