With mind benign and gladdening, set thou in place our wealth, all-heroed, rich in potent speech. Grant easy passage, a good ford, fair drinking-water, O lords of splendour; smite far away the evil thought, the stump that stands within the path.
Rishi: Marriage/prosperity hymn tradition; r̥ṣi attribution varies
Devata: Aśvins (śubhaspatī); beneficent ‘sumati’ power
Chandas: Mixed/triṣṭubh-like (as transmitted; AV metrical practice is flexible here)
