udī́cyai tvā diśé somā́yādhípataye svajā́ya rakṣitré ’śanyā́ iṣúmatyai | etáṃ pári dadmás táṃ no gopāyatāsmā́kam áitoḥ | diṣṭáṃ no átrá jarásé ní neṣaj jarā́ mṛtyáve pári ṇo dadātvátha pakvéna sahá sáṃ bhavema
To the Northern Quarter thee we assign—to Soma as its Lord, to Svajā the Guardian, to Aśanī, arrow-armed Iṣumatī. This do we set about us: let it guard us from the assailant. Here may our appointed lot conduct us unto old age; let Age set a fence about us against Death; then, with ripeness, may we together be made whole.
Rishi: Atharvanic tradition (directional guardianship sequence; specific ṛṣi not stated in the provided excerpt)
Devata: Diś (North) with Soma as adhipati; Svajā, Aśanī, Iṣumatī as rakṣitṛ-powers; also Jarā vs. Mṛtyu as operative personifications
Chandas: Mixed/prose-like Atharvanic cadence; not securely determinable from excerpt alone
