Sukta 5
१॥ सूर्यस्यावृतमन्वावर्ते दक्षिणामन्वावृतम्। सा मे द्रविणं यच्छतु सा मे ब्राह्मणवर्चसम्
sū́ryasyā́vṛtam anvā́varte dákṣiṇām anvā́vṛtam | sā́ me dráviṇaṃ yacchatu sā́ me brāhmaṇavarcásam ||
Following the Sun’s ordered revolution it comes round—following the revolution, the Dakṣiṇā. Let her bestow on me wealth; let her bestow on me brahmanic splendour.
Rishi: Atharvanic tradition (exact r̥ṣi attribution varies by anukramaṇī; commonly treated as an Atharvanic prosperity formula-set)
Devata: Dakṣiṇā (personified), with Sūrya as cosmological guarantor
Chandas: Anuṣṭubh (probable; short pāda structure consistent with anuṣṭubh-style Atharvanic formulas)
{"primary_rasa":"shanta","secondary_rasa":"adbhuta","emotional_arc":"From observing cosmic order to confident receiving of sustenance and sacral brilliance.","listener_experience":"Quiet optimism; sense of being included in a benevolent cycle.","intensity":3}
