víṣṇoḥ krámo ’si sapatná-hauṣadhī-saṃśitáḥ sóma-tejāḥ | oṣadhī́r ánu ví krame ’hámoṣadhī́bhyás táṃ nír-bhajāmo yó ’smā́n dvéṣṭi yáṃ vayáṃ dvíṣmaḥ | sá mā́ jī́vit táṃ prāṇó jahātu
Thou art the stride of Viṣṇu, a slayer of rivals, whetted by the herbs, possessed of Soma’s splendour. Along the herbs I stride forth; from the herbs we sunder and cast away that man who hateth us, whom we in turn do hate. Let him not live: let breath abandon him.
Rishi: Traditionally associated with Atharvanic/Brahmanic seers for this complex; hymn-level attribution requires edition-specific anukramaṇī collation.
Devata: Viṣṇu (as ‘Kramá’), with empowered agencies: Oṣadhīs and Soma-tejas; also Prāṇa as the life-force invoked to depart.
Chandas: Predominantly Anuṣṭubh-like cadence with Atharvanic expansions; exact metrical tagging should be verified against pada-count in the edition used.
{"primary_rasa":"raudra","secondary_rasa":"bhayankara","emotional_arc":"From empowered advance (vi-kram-) to explicit lethal imprecation.","listener_experience":"Fierce, coercive, intimidating; evokes dread and domination.","intensity":9}
