Verse 8
Niralamba
परमात्मा स ब्रह्मा स विष्णुः स इन्द्रः स शमनः स सूर्यः स चन्द्रः । ते सुरास्ते असुरास्ते पिशाचास्ते मनुष्यास्ताः स्त्रियस्ते पश्वादयः । तत्स्थावरं ते ब्राह्मणादयः । सर्वं खल्विदं ब्रह्म नेह नानास्ति किञ्चन ॥८-९॥
परमात्मा । सः ब्रह्मा । सः विष्णुः । सः इन्द्रः । सः शमनः । सः सूर्यः । सः चन्द्रः । ते सुराः । ते असुराः । ते पिशाचाः । ते मनुष्याः । ताः स्त्रियः । ते पशु-आदयः । तत् स्थावरम् । ते ब्राह्मण-आदयः । सर्वम् खलु इदम् ब्रह्म । न इह नाना अस्ति किञ्चन ॥८-९॥
paramātmā sa brahmā sa viṣṇuḥ sa indraḥ sa śamanaḥ sa sūryaḥ sa candraḥ | te surās te asurās te piśācās te manuṣyās tāḥ striyas te paśvādayaḥ | tat sthāvaraṃ te brāhmaṇādayaḥ | sarvaṃ khalvidaṃ brahma neha nānāsti kiñcana ||8-9||
Paramatman itulah Brahma, itulah Wisnu, itulah Indra, itulah Yama (Sang Penegak Dharma), itulah Surya, itulah Candra; Dia pula para dewa, para asura, para pisaca, manusia, para perempuan, hewan dan lainnya, juga yang tak bergerak; Dia pula para brahmana dan semua golongan. Sungguh, semuanya ini adalah Brahman; di sini tiada sedikit pun keberagaman.
The Supreme Self—He is Brahmā; He is Viṣṇu; He is Indra; He is Yama; He is the Sun; He is the Moon. They are the gods; they are the asuras; they are the piśācas; they are human beings; they are women; they are animals and the rest; that which is stationary (the immobile) is that; they are brāhmaṇas and the rest. All this indeed is Brahman; here there is no plurality whatsoever.
