Skanda Purana — Vishnu Khanda, Shloka 70

राजा स कृतकृत्योऽथ शेषं संगृह्य तद्धनम् । द्विजेभ्यो विधिवद्दत्त्वा पालयामास वै प्रजाः

rājā sa kṛtakṛtyo'tha śeṣaṃ saṃgṛhya taddhanam | dvijebhyo vidhivaddattvā pālayāmāsa vai prajāḥ

Kemudian sang raja, setelah tugasnya tuntas, menghimpun sisa harta itu; dan setelah memberikannya dengan tata upacara yang semestinya kepada para dvija (brahmana), ia sungguh melindungi rakyatnya.
