देव्युवाच । अहं च रक्षयिष्यामि स्वभक्तं कृष्णमृत्युतः । यस्माच्च चंडिकाकृत्ये कृतोऽनेन महारणः । तस्माच्चंडिलनाम्नायं विश्वपूज्यो भविष्यति
devyuvāca | ahaṃ ca rakṣayiṣyāmi svabhaktaṃ kṛṣṇamṛtyutaḥ | yasmācca caṃḍikākṛtye kṛto'nena mahāraṇaḥ | tasmāccaṃḍilanāmnāyaṃ viśvapūjyo bhaviṣyati
Sang Dewi bersabda: “Aku pun akan melindungi bhaktaku, Kṛṣṇa, dari kematian. Dan karena dalam pengabdian kepada Caṇḍikā ia telah bertempur dalam perang besar, maka ia akan termasyhur dan dipuja di dunia dengan nama ‘Caṇḍila.’”
