Lomaharṣaṇa (Sūta) to the sages (deduced from Māheśvarakhaṇḍa context)
Scene: A didactic tableau: a sage instructs a seeker; behind them a symbolic balance/scale of karma, with scenes of good deeds flowering and harmful deeds returning as thorns—showing time/place/age as a wheel around the central law of causality.
Karma is inescapable: deeds done in any circumstance return in due form; therefore choose śubha (good) actions.
No tīrtha is identified; this is a general karmic principle.
No specific ritual is named; it frames the ethical basis for choosing merit-producing conduct.
