ihopapattirmama kena karmaṇā kva ca prayātavyamito mayeti | vicārya caivaṃ pratikārakārī budhaiḥ sa cokto dvija dakṣadakṣaḥ
“Dengan karma apakah aku memperoleh keadaan ini, dan dari sini ke mana aku harus pergi?”—orang yang merenung demikian lalu menempuh tindakan penebusan dan perbaikan, oleh para bijak disebut dwija yang sungguh cakap, mahir dalam kewajiban yang patut dilakukan.
