तथा यस्तामसो नाम नरकं प्रतिपद्यते । भुक्त्वा बह्वीर्यातनाश्च स्थावरत्वं प्रपद्यते
tathā yastāmaso nāma narakaṃ pratipadyate | bhuktvā bahvīryātanāśca sthāvaratvaṃ prapadyate
Demikian pula, orang yang disebut ‘tāmasa’ jatuh ke neraka. Setelah menanggung banyak siksaan, ia memperoleh keadaan sebagai makhluk tak bergerak, seperti tumbuhan dan bentuk menetap lainnya.
