कमठ उवाच । गुरवे प्राङ्नमस्कृत्य धर्माय तदनंतरम् । छंदोगीतममुं प्रश्नं शक्त्या वक्ष्यामि ते द्विज

kamaṭha uvāca | gurave prāṅnamaskṛtya dharmāya tadanaṃtaram | chaṃdogītamamuṃ praśnaṃ śaktyā vakṣyāmi te dvija

Kamaṭha berkata: “Setelah terlebih dahulu bersujud kepada Guru, lalu kepada Dharma, akan kujawab pertanyaan yang dilagukan dalam metrum suci ini menurut kemampuanku, wahai brāhmaṇa.”
