न श्रृणोति न वक्त्येव मनसापि च किंचन । एवंप्रभावः सोऽभूच्च बाल्ये विप्रसुतस्तदा
na śrṛṇoti na vaktyeva manasāpi ca kiṃcana | evaṃprabhāvaḥ so'bhūcca bālye viprasutastadā
Ia tidak mendengar dan tidak pula berbicara; bahkan dalam batin pun ia tidak menautkan diri pada apa pun. Demikianlah keadaan luar biasanya ketika ia masih anak seorang brāhmaṇa.
