इति जपः गोमेदनामा प्लक्षोस्ति सुरम्यो यस्य च्छायया । मोदोवृद्धिं गतं लौल्याद्गोमेदं द्वीपमुच्यते
iti japaḥ gomedanāmā plakṣosti suramyo yasya cchāyayā | modovṛddhiṃ gataṃ laulyādgomedaṃ dvīpamucyate
Demikianlah japa itu. Di sana ada pohon plakṣa yang sangat elok bernama Gomeda; oleh naungannya, sukacita bertambah karena rasa kasih yang memikat—maka pulau itu disebut Gomeda-dvīpa.
