मरीचिपाः पुष्पजं च ज्ञानगम्येति नाम च । शकृताः शकृतं लिंगं ज्ञानज्ञेयेति नाम च

marīcipāḥ puṣpajaṃ ca jñānagamyeti nāma ca | śakṛtāḥ śakṛtaṃ liṃgaṃ jñānajñeyeti nāma ca

Kaum Marīcipa membentuk liṅga yang lahir dari bunga dan memaklumkan namanya ‘Jñānagamya’—yang dicapai melalui pengetahuan sejati. Kaum Śakṛta membentuk liṅga dari kotoran sapi dan menamainya ‘Jñānajñeya’—yang dikenali melalui pengetahuan.
