अपत्यविक्रयात्कल्पं वसेद्विट्कृमिभोजने । अतो नाण्वपि कन्याया उपजीव्यं नरैर्धनम्
apatyavikrayātkalpaṃ vasedviṭkṛmibhojane | ato nāṇvapi kanyāyā upajīvyaṃ narairdhanam
Dengan menjual keturunan, seseorang akan tinggal selama satu kalpa di alam tempat cacing memakan kotoran. Karena itu, manusia tidak patut mencari nafkah bahkan dari harta sekecil apa pun yang diperoleh melalui ‘harga’ seorang putri.
