Transliteration

caitraśuklapratipadaḥ paṃcamīdinapaṃcake | rāvaṇo yudhyamāno 'bhūtpracuro rakṣasāṃ vadhaḥ

Translation

Sejak pratipadā paruh terang bulan Caitra hingga rentang lima hari yang berakhir pada pañcamī, ketika Rāvaṇa terus bertempur, terjadilah pembantaian besar atas para Rākṣasa.
