तमेवाराधयिष्यामि निरंजनमकल्मषः । एवं कृत्वा मतिं दैत्य स्तपस्तेपे सुदुष्करम् । भीतो जन्मभयाद्घोराद्दुष्करं यन्महात्मभिः
tamevārādhayiṣyāmi niraṃjanamakalmaṣaḥ | evaṃ kṛtvā matiṃ daitya stapastepe suduṣkaram | bhīto janmabhayādghorādduṣkaraṃ yanmahātmabhiḥ
“Dia saja akan kupuja—Yang Niranjana, tanpa noda dan tanpa cela.” Dengan tekad demikian, sang Daitya menjalani tapa yang amat sukar, didorong oleh ketakutan mengerikan akan kelahiran berulang—ujian yang berat bahkan bagi para mahātma.
